New prescriptions
Requests made for a medicine you have not had before, or for one prescribed by your previous practice will not be issued until you see one of our doctors.
Repeat prescriptions
All repeat prescriptions take 48 hours to process so please give us this time before you come to collect it. Repeats may be obtained by visiting the surgery in person, by post and including a stamped addressed envelope, or online using EMIS access.
We only accept requests for repeats over the phone for those who are housebound or severely disabled. However we do make exceptions for unforeseen circumstances.
If you live outside the UK we are not permitted to issue repeat prescriptions.
Prescription requests for minor ailments
Our clinicians do not routinely prescribe for treatments for minor ailments as they can readily be bought over the counter. If in doubt please ask our receptionists for the list of medicines not normally prescribed by us.
Chemist
Cadge pharmacy is located at the entrance of the surgery and is open the same hours as us Mondays to Fridays. In addition they are open on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
Test results
You can call us for your test results between 3 pm and 6 pm. The receptionist will either give you the results over the telephone or fix an appointment for you to see a doctor to discuss them. Lab Tests Online is a good website which tells you how to understand your results.
